The day for departure drawing closer, the journeymen get the chance to visit Ctesiphon, where the original Magi of 2000 years ago rendezvoused after travelling from the cities of Mosul, Ur and Hamadan. The modern pilgrimage was supposed to do the same, but political and logistical problems have kept those plans from fruition.
