Overview of November 2:
The city of Heet, just south of the Euphrates River, is known for the tar pits that pock the area. The journeymen were given a brief tour of several of the pits by the city's mayor as they pass though.

In the evening they return to their camp for a traditional Iraqi feast of Masgouff, fish prepared in a rather unique manner: sliced in half and staked next to a blazing fire, when almost cooked through the fish is taken off the stakes, laid down on the hot coals of the fire and packed with vegetables.

After dinner Abu-Galen, the owner of the land on which the journeymen are camped, joins them around the fire teaching them some Iraqi games.
